Earlier, Ahmar, in an interview with Chinese International Radio, stressed that halting of the peace process in the region is caused by continuation of the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories and its intransigent stances and nonreadiness to walk in road of just and comprehensive peace
” The US administration stances represented by the unwavering support to Israel, continued occupation of Iraq and its intervention in other states’ affairs removed it away from its required honest role as a sponsor of peace process,” Ahmar added.
He noted that Syria stands by Lebanon and supports all what the Lebanese agree on to overcome the current political crisis, holding the foreign interference the main responsibility for continuation of the political crisis. Ghossoun
