The Inerrancy Of God’s Word Conference

Greetings

We need God’s pure Word more than ever for reassurance and truth in these troubling times. But God’s Word has been retranslated and paraphrased by the post-modern church to the point that is difficult if not impossible to recognize it for what it once was. And as a result the Bible has lost its position of being God’s enduring truth to the world.

The modern church questions inerrancy and preservation of the Bible. Has God been able to preserve His Word without error the way He intended it? Or has the Devil’s darkness overcome the Light of God’s written Word?

The Holy Spirit has lead In The Days to host a four day conference entitled, “The Inerrancy of God’s Word.” Speakers include David Hocking, Jacob Prasch, Dr. Rick Oliver, Randall Price, Warren Smith, and many others.

The conference will be broadcast live on our radio station KRSS (Cross Radio) in Clarinda, Iowa, and the audio available live over the internet by going to www.inthedays.com. Live video webcast can be watched on www.GodlyConferences.com.

Lovers of the Truth

“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.”
—Malachi 3:16

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12

A DVD set of the entire conference and the worship music is also available for review and to share with others at The Inerrancy of God’s Word.

IIPeter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction….KJB

If we know and believe that false teachers will come,is it so hard to believe that these false teachers will come with Phd’s in hand touting their preferred version of the Word of God…

The Church is being tried ..just as God left some of the inhabitant in the land to try them, so I believe he is allowing these perversions of his Word to try us…

I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.
(Jdg 2:21-22)

I hope this conference addresses this vital matter…Do we have God’s pure Word? Where is it?
Hopefully this won’t be another “pure and infalliable only in the originals” otherwise you can save your breath…you have no original document…
The only choices are providential preservation as promised by God or man’s scholarship..

Russ,

You just quoted twice from the original document. I believe the Holy Spirit was able to inspire the original writers, & I’m confident He can continue to get the true Word of G-D to believers who are seeking His Truth.

After all, He is the Creator of everything, Ruler over all, Provider of our salvation; so “original documents” shouldn’t be a problem.

I am sure you will enjoy the conference because those who are involved have dedicated their lives to this calling.

Linda

The more we hear of the genuine , the easier it is to spot the counterfeits.

Maybe the convoluted message of the “post-modern” church is the “strong delusion” eluded to in scripture? What better way to mislead people (or even the elect, if possible?) than to make them question the inerrancy of God’s word?

We know that even the gates of hell will not prevail against God’s elect(church). Thank God!

Linda,
Actually,I quoted from my Bible which is a copy of the original.
There is only one first off copy of anything, hence the term “original”.
I believe my copy is just as flawless as the original. I can’t prove that by the standards of higher criticism . I believe that by faith.
I know most of the speakers at the conference and know they are Godly men…what I ‘m going to be looking for is someone who will state plainly that the Bible he hauls up to the podium with him is just as perfect as the originals. I’m tired of people who talk out of both sides of their mouths on this issue..saying only the Hebrew or only the Greek and those poor King James boys only had the inferior English to work with. This attitude makes them the authority, not the Bible….

Russ,

Your 3rd sentence is the most important one. Everything about Christianity is by faith & that’s the way the Almighty G-D of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob wants it.

If you know most of the speakers & know they are Godly men, then why not glean from what they have to offer.

If there is something greater that you are looking for, then turn to Christ Jesus for He is the Word & He dwells within all of us.

Linda,
Yes Jesus is the Living Word and dwells within us.But everything you know about God,his nature, character and purpose came from the written Word, whether you read it yourself or had it read to you..

Quoting the above…
“The modern church questions inerrancy and preservation of the Bible. Has God been able to preserve His Word without error the way He intended it? Or has the Devil’s darkness overcome the Light of God’s written Word?

I’ll be listening intently…. Blessings, Russ

What came first, the church or the Bible?

What is the relationship between God’s Word and the Bible?

Matt Wilcoxen says Comment posted on January 16th, 2009

I think those would be interesting questions for the Q & A time. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make the conference. Stink.

Russ_

I do not think the Devil’s darkness has overcome the Light. In fact the opposite is an absolute truth of light – it overcomes darkness.
Jesus is the Light, and Jesus is the word. We know whose head was crushed, and we know whose heel was bruised.

I believe some people are instructed from men rather than from annointed men God, and it depends on their individual journey in faith, and what bible or spiritual teachers they have had. My wife is involved with some women whose beliefs are filled with replacement theology – a false teaching that misguides many so called followers of Christ.

This is darkness. There has always been darkness and false teachers, and we will have them until Jesus ‘s second coming.
The word(Jesus) is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Not one jot or one tittle will ever be done away with.
We can most assuredly say that God has kept His word intact.
And we can know for certain that it is true and there is a “right” interpretation of it.

If NOT we have nothing to stand on.

I have read all of the above and fine it most interesting. What astounds me is the fact That not one person has put togeather the things that are happening today are related to the coming of Jesus Christ. Ever one of you are in a natural state of mind and not focused on the current events of the day. I really don’t care about that conference. Reason being is that I can assure you that not one thing will be brought up concerning the rapture of the church. There is no more time left. Jesus is coming. The sad thing about the whole thing, is that not one in a thousand [christians] have a clue . This will all be a feel good sermon clap your hand, go home with a smile on your face, and not have Jesus Christ as thier persoal savior. That is sad. The clock is running and no one knows it. Here is the example from were I get my information on. It is called, the study of the word. The war Israel is having is not just a war. It is God’s war useing God’s chosen [1 Ki 11:13; 1 Ch 16:13; 2 Ch 6:6; ] From what I have read from the comments, is what I call a lot of lost people concerning the rapture of the church. I have yet to read any thing from any one on any verses on the end times. [Ezek 38 & 39] This is were we are at today. The christians that are upset from my statement. Read the news paper and get into the word of the Lord. You will find out that both say the same thing.
Have a nice day

lawrenceeddy,

huh?
you think that a conference about the inerrancy of God’s Holy Word is a “feel good sermon” that will make people go home “without having Jesus Christ as their personal Savior”??
i fail to see the logic in this!

“faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (romans 10:17)
it is the Word of God that leads us to Jesus Christ!
so a conference about the inerrancy of the Word has the opposite effect of what you suggest…

but you don’t care about this conference because you don’t think “the rapture” will be brought up??
personally, i hold ALL of God’s Holy Word with the utmost respect…

Lawrence,
I disagree with you. I’m not “upset” in the least about your statements either. This is a great forum where we can edify one another, encourage one another, rebuke false doctrine, or just disagree with eachother.
Iron sharpens iron kind of “Berean” thing. (From Acts)

Any time believers gather in His name to Glorify the LORD in Spirit and in Truth is a good time, and we know Christ is with us, at least He said He would be. I certainly would hope to be leaving any such event encouraged to the MAX! What is wrong with your joy brother? It is a sign of being born again, to have the joy of the LORD. Check yoself.
