Noah’s Ark found in Turkey

THE remains of Noah’s Ark have been discovered 13,000ft up a Turkish mountain, it has been claimed.

Knowledge Increased

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
—Daniel 12:4

A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say they have found wooden remains on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey.

They claim carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old — around the same time the ark was said to be afloat

Yeung Wing-Cheung, from the Noah’s Ark Ministries International research team, said: “It’s not 100 per cent that it is Noah’s Ark, but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it.”

He said the structure contained several compartments, some with wooden beams, that they believe were used to house animals.

The group of evangelical archaeologists ruled out an established human settlement on the grounds none have ever been found above 11,000ft in the vicinity, Yeung said.

Local Turkish officials will ask the central government in Ankara to apply for UNESCO World Heritage status so the site can be protected while a major archaeological dig is conducted.

The biblical story says that God decided to flood the Earth after seeing how corrupt it was.

He then told Noah to build an ark and fill it with two of every animal species.

After the flood waters receded, the Bible says, the ark came to rest on a mountain.

Many believe that Mount Ararat, the highest point in the region, is where the ark and her inhabitants ran aground.

This is NOT Noah’s Ark. The finding of radioactive C14 in the wood would not support this finding as the Ark. The preflood atmospheric canopy blocked much if not all of the cosmic rays. Fossil fuels ( from preflood organic matter) do not contain radioactive C14 and neither would the wood used to build the Ark. Remember, radioactive C14 is produced when cosmic rays protons collide with a carbon nucleus. Preflood: cosmic rays blocked. Postflood: Radioactive C14 levels would take time to build to an equilibrium. T1/2 is theory and has never been observed.

    Interesting JFW

True, however would not some of the wood absorbed C14? We do not know how long the ark was exposed to the environment before it would have been covered by the ice and snow over the years.

But, I do agree that dating by C14 is not an acceptable tool for dating.

That is the best answer that I have ever heard of .Now if I could understand what in the world you are saying to would bring me to a closer finding of a fact or fiction finding. Fact is that there is a Noah’s ark out there. Fact 2 is if God wants us to find it, it will be found with or with out all this c14 or what ever. When the timing is right you and I will rejoice in it.

Randall Price is a professor at Liberty University and he was involved with this expedition. He explains the “discovery” as the result of a carefully orchestrated hoax.

Very few Christian website report about this finding. All secular news sites make nasty fun of this finding.
In their view it’s ok to spend billions $ to look ETs & UFOs. Also no one ridicules them building a giant magnetic circle under ground to proof a “big bang” . Few years ago. T-rex bones were discovered with soft tissue in it and was said to be “millions of years old”. C14 has an “half-life” 5730+- 40 years. Very close what Bible gives age of the earth.
This finding will be denied, those who found it will be ridiculed, and then forgotten. And why on earth would Kurds haul pile of lumber 13000 feet, build something and call few archeologist up there just to make money? Right.
Jesus asked when He will return “will He find faith in earth”. What ever happened to simple Gospel message? Christian media spends too much time and money scaring people with “end times” . Some have turn the Word of Bible in to speculative depressing hodgepodge. That should not be.

We should not discredit this finding so easily. Timing finding the Noah’s Ark is right. Unfortunately in past few years there has been so many ark “discoveries” that makes this discovery sound like chicken little story for rest of the world. Best part is the photos that this archeology group has provided as a proof. Hope that they have funds to make a documentary movie.
    It’s interesting that C14 “half-life” is about 5730 +- 40 years that matches Hebrew calendar 5770.
