Iran outraged as Star of David revealed on airport

Google Earth satellite image shows Star of David on roof of national carrier building

A satellite image of Tehran airport taken by Google Earth service outraged Iranian government officials as the Star of David appeared on the roof of the headquarters of the national carrier Iran Air.

Israel in the Last Days

“And he shall set up an ensign Strongs 5251: nace; from 5264; a flag; also a sail; by implication, a flagstaff; generally a signal; figuratively, a token:—banner, pole, sail, (en-)sign, standard.
Strongs 5264: naw-sas´; a primitive root; to gleam from afar, i.e. to be conspicuous as a signal; or rather perhaps a denominative from 5251 (and identical with 5263, through the idea of a flag as fluttering in the wind); to raise a beacon:—lift up as an ensign.
for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”
—Isaiah 11:12

The Iranian became angry when local media reported Saturday the discovery of a Google Earth image that shows the Star of David on top of the main building of the Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran, also known as Iran Air, and called for its instant removal, the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot reported Sunday.
As speculations rose about the presence of the Zionist symbol in the Islamic republic that has severed all ties with Israel since the 1979 revolution, Iranian media explained that the Iran Air building was, in fact, constructed by Israeli engineers during the time of Shah Mohamed Reza Pahlavi.

Amid calls for removing the symbol, several local media reports focused on the close ties that existed between Israel and the pre-revolution government.

According to the reports, not only did the government of the Shah hire Israeli engineers to build the headquarters of the national airliner, but starting 1960 regular flights were scheduled between Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport.

The reports added that Israel also sold weapons to the army of the Shah in return for oil and that there were training programs between both countries where Israeli experts trained Iranians in agriculture and trade.

This is not the first time that the Star of David stirs outrage in Iran, as it was spotted in August on top of one of the buildings in Tehran’s Revolution Square. The square itself had hundreds of Stars of David, in what local media viewed as a symbol of evil trying to destroy the heart of the Islamic republic.

The presence of such a large number of stars stirred confusion amongst Iranians as the media wondered what made the person who designed the square draw the symbol of the Hebrew state.

An article in a local news website raised the question of whether the designer was ignorant of the symbol altogether or was too indifferent to think of its political associations.

Very interesting! I loved to read both the article and the comment of Jeremy W. Thank you!

there are no mere co-incidences. for co-incidences is merley God’s way of subtly bringing us back yet to a certain set of circumstances again that serve to re-inforce his power His Glory and His Majesty if only we use our innate human faculties to perceive the meaning that has been there all along. There are no co-incidencies, there is only the beautiful unfolding tapestry of God, repeated over and over in different ways until we humans realize the beauty that lies therin. For now we see thru a glass darkly, the glass will surely clear as time goes on.

Sorry Jeremy, but you are misinformed. The hexagram that you claim is on the head of Ashtaroth is a sunburst, not a Star of David. And the star of Remphan is and eight pointed star with the top and bottom points elongated like the ones found on Christmas cards and on the tops of Christmas trees.
The occult and witchcraft use a pentagram, which is an upside down five pointed star, usually inside a circle.
While I agree, many groups and cults that have used the hexagram, that does not make the Magen David (Shield of David) occult. Every Magen David is a hexagram, but not every hexagram is a Magen David. The enemy has taken everything that Yahweh has created and perverted it for his own use, that does not make the thing inherently bad, only the misuse of it.
Every snowflake created by Yahweh Himself is a hexagram. The water molecules in the double helix of our DNA stands are hexagrams. If all hexagrams are pagan, then our very DNA is pagan!
There is no definitive historical proof that the Magen David was ever worshiped or used in pagan worship before it was used as a symbol by the Hebrews. No one knows exactly when it was used first. But there is historical proof that the fish symbol used by Christians was used to worship the pagan god Dagon who was the fish god. But you won’t hear a lot of people telling you not to use this symbol because of it’s use in pagan worship.. The Christmas tree as described in Jer. 10 was definitely worshiped and used in worship of a pagan god but if you tell anyone their Christmas tree is a pagan worship symbol, you’ll be called a heretic or a a scrooge, and get your head bit off!

So which has more proof of paganism, the Magen David or the Christmas tree?

Deu 12:30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, “How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’
    Deu 12:31 You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods;

Uri Ofir did a lot of research on the Magen David. Here are a couple of websites you can check out.

FYI….have you ever researched the origins of Wikipedia ?

Jeremy’s comment is so accurate. An in-depth look at the Torah will reveal that there are numerous Gods lumped under the term “God”.

    1. The Creator God who created the Sentient Universe. Gen 1:1,25 Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient. God worketh all in all. I Cor. 12:26
…that God may be all in all. I Cor. 15:28 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all. Eph. 4:6

    2. The gods who created Man in their own image, male and female created he them. Gen 1:26,27, 5:1,2 (3 times it says this)
These gods also wanted gold Gen. 2:11 & 12. And mankind to work the garden 2:15
This god preferred the roasted meat and fat given by Abel over the vegetables brought by Cain. Gen 4:4
The sons of god had sex with and children by human women again proving they were genetically similiar physical beings. Gen 6:2,4

    3. The God of Laws who told Moses; Thou shalt not kill, steal, bear false witness, covet anything that is thy neighbors. Ex 20:13

    4. The capricious God of War of Joshua who proscribed genocide, murder, covetousness and theft against the remainder of Abraham’s seed.
Who are Abram’s seed? Eight Sons
By Hagar, first born, Ishmael, who married a Canaanite wife, was blessed by God to be a great nation. Gen 17:20
By Sarah, 2nd born, Isaac who married a Chaldian (Iraq) wife, Rebekah.
By Keturah, Zimran,, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. Gen 25:1.

In an attempt to identify who is speaking, we recall that Jesus said: “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Matt 7:16
“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matt 7:20

These Gods can thus be identified in history as well as today by the deeds of their followers.

    Peace be with you Ruth,
You are absolutely correct about the fish symbol christians use. It is pagan and goes back to Babylon. This same fish symbolism is worn daily in catholcism when they put on their pointed fish mitre hats. The pope even has a gown to this day with fish scales. There truly is nothing new under the sun. His get up looks exactly like this photo from The Two Babylons. Photo of Dagon with fish head

As far as Jeremiah chapter 10 once again I completely agree with you. I do not put up one of those trees in my home. If anyone discovers the true meaning, which is Saturnalia worship; they become disgusted. I refuse to even elaborate on what they did as worship. They may call me a heretic but I do not put up a tree in my home. It’s not even hard when you know the truth. I choose not to lie to my children as well. If anyone has read The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop they are fully aware that the tree used in Egypt all the way to Babylon was even the palm tree. In Rome and to the North it was the fir tree they used. The opposition will say this was an upright idol (totem pole) that was carved and worshipped. Here in the good ‘ol’ U.S. of A. I believe most Americans will be bowing down to the tree paying homage to the false christ Tammuz. How many of them hit their knees and seek the risen LORD Jesus Christ of the Bible? Since it is that time of year. Happy Hannukah to all. We do also know that without a doubt our saviour attended the feast of dedication in John chapter 10. I doubt very seriously he celebrated the birth of Tammuz. I however will celebrate the virgin birth of Jesus any day someone wants to. We most likely know it was on the feast of Tabernacles and not Dec. 25 for the 25th was the birthday of most pagan gods. The Two Babylons chapter 3

As far as Ashtaroth there are many different variations and names used. I actually have an image of Ashtaroth standing on a lion with a six pointed star. Upon a search of “Ashtoroth” I found one standing on a lion with the ten pointed star. Ashtaroth is found 11 times in the KJV and Ashtoroth is not found at all. She was known by many many names including Ashtoroth, Ashtor, Astarot, Isis,Victoria, Diana, Queen of Heaven and on and on. Most cities have a statue of her on top of a dome or their port which does have the sunrays on her head.

The double helix is very, very interesting. I will have to look into this a bit more. Man is inherently corrupt. The DNA of corrupt man with hex’s or 6’s. The number of man reminds me of this Rev. 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. The mad scientist that have been fusing in a third strand of DNA becomes something to look into a little more.
These mad scientist have also been inserting strands of dna of pigs with humans. They are looking for immortality without having to go through Jesus Christ. I believe this is very interesting when you read the book of Jasher, that is mentioned in Joshua and 2 Samuel. Here is what the book of Jasher says for those who do not have a copy of it.

    Jasher chapter 4:17-18
    17. And every man made unto himself a god, and they robbed and plundered every man his neighbor as well as his relative, and they corrupted the earth, and the earth was filled with violence. 18. And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the SONS OF MEN IN THOSE DAYS TOOK FROM CATTLE OF THE EARTH, THE BEASTS OF THE FIELD AND THE FOWLS OF THE AIR, AND TAUGHT THE MIXTURE OF ANIMALS OF ONE SPECIES WITH THE OTHER, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted it’s way upon the earth, all men and all animals.

Below is a quote I have copied and pasted from the Jewish Virtual Library What I find interesting is this. If the star of David shows up in an ancient Jewish painting of that time period, they automaticaly suspect forgery! Also it is supppose to represent the shield but there is no evidence for it. As far as Amos 5 we

“The Magen David (shield of David, or as it is more commonly known, the Star of David) is the symbol most commonly associated with Judaism today, but it is actually a relatively new Jewish symbol. It is supposed to represent the shape of King David’s shield (or perhaps the emblem on it), but there is really no support for that claim in any early rabbinic literature. In fact, the symbol is so rare in early Jewish literature and artwork that art dealers suspect forgery if they find the symbol in early works.

Scholars such as Franz Rosenzweig have attributed deep theological significance to the symbol. For example, some note that the top triangle strives upward, toward G-d, while the lower triangle strives downward, toward the real world. Some note that the intertwining makes the triangles inseparable, like the Jewish people. Some say that the three sides represent the three types of Jews: Kohanim, Levites and Israel. While these theories are theologically interesting, they have little basis in historical fact.

The symbol of intertwined equilateral triangles is a common one in the Middle East and North Africa, and is thought to bring good luck. It appears occasionally in early Jewish artwork, but never as an exclusively Jewish symbol. The nearest thing to an “official” Jewish symbol at the time was the menorah.

In the middle ages, Jews often were required to wear badges to identify themselves as Jews, much as they were in Nazi Germany, but these Jewish badges were not always the familiar Magen David. For example, a fifteenth century painting by Nuno Goncalves features a rabbi wearing a six-pointed badge that looks more or less like an asterisk.”

I can not say without a doubt that the “Star of David” was brought from Egypt. What is for sure is the Hebrews took an image of a star with them out of Egypt. 5 pointed to 25 pointed that I can not prove. To end this on a more uplifing note this is an excellent video series of Mountain of Fire the Search for the Real Mt. Sinai.
Happy Hannukah and peace to all,
    Jeremy W.

Shabbat Shalom, and Happy Channukah to you Jeremy and Ruth!

Thank you for the well researched and respectful dialogue.

In regards to the ways of the heathen GOD is very clear on how whe should conduct ourselves.

“And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that [were] round about them, [concerning] whom the YHWH had charged them, that they should not do like them.” 2 Kings 17:15

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.” Jeremiah 10:2

One of the greatest teachers of scripture Rav Shaul says this “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21 and you all are doing just that.

Jeremy I can see that you are a well studied man and I would like to talk to you some more.

Ruth I would also like to talk to you in more detail, you seem to have Jewish roots and possibly Messianic leanings. I love you deeply nonetheless for I am grateful for the two most important things in the world which the Jewish people have given to me namely YESHUA and the TORAH.

YHWH is setting the stage for me to have an opportunity like no other so his WORD can be understood and proclaimed to the world for his Messiah is soon to come and redeem the Righteous.

If you both would give me the Honor of getting to know you more, please e-mail me at and place your names in the subject bar so I will know that the e-mail has come from you.

It is 2 am in Florida were I reside and I do not think I read your articles by chance. I got up from sleep to read the book of Maccabees but decided to check out the world headlines and I saw your comments Praised be his Glorious Name! It has been an interesting week, fires in Israel, missile launch coverup, US on the verge of openly accepting abomination, shady loans to international banks disclosed, the revelation of so many state secrets.

Enjoy your Channukah and may you all continue to grow in Righteousness.

    Shabbat Shalom

Wow, this is really getting some feedback. Just to help keep to momentum going thought I’d coment on the “Triquetra” that Jeremy mentioned. While it is a very prominent sympol used to denote the Christian Trinity, it is also used by the New Age, as per Tex Marrs: “New Age leader Marilyn Ferguson, who wrote the million copy bestselling book, The Aquarian Conspiracy, included the triquetra symbol at the beginning of each chapter of her 447-page encyclopedia promoting New Age perversion. Indeed, the very cover of her book has this symbol prominently displayed against a stark, black background.”
In his “Mark of the Devil Discovered?” article Tex goes on to say this 666 symbol is found on a ” prototype of a new smart card just unveiled by MasterCard, Visa, Citibank, and Chase Manhattan. I was utterly shocked to find the triquetra symbol emblazoned repeatedly on the card. As Gail told me in her letter, “The latest smart card has the NKJV’s logo all over the face of the plastic so that when a picture goes under it, you have 666 on your forehead.” “

Some times error can take very subtle forms. I was reminded of this tonight at the kid’s Christmas concert. One popular Christmas hymn expressed “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” However, when that passage of scripture was recited it was “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” In the song and certain texts God’s favor is extended to all men, but in the Eclectic Text and other versions God’s favor seems to be conditional. Which one is correct? What is of greater significance is that in proposing an alternate text, scholarship casts doubt that God has preserved the Bible in a state of purity.
