The Iranian government has produced a propaganda film that argues the conditions foretold by prophecy are now being fulfilled, so that the emergence of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi, is at hand. CBN News reports:

IshmaelFYI: Ishmael is the son of Abraham through Hagar, the maid of Abraham’s wife Sarah.
Ishmael is the Biblical father of the Arab nations.
From these nations came Mohammad, who in approximately 632 a.d founded the Religion of Islam.
The Religion is divided into two main groups, The Sunni’s and The Shiite’s. These two are engaged in a battle to gain control of the religion.
The Shiite branch claims its right to control because Ali, its founder, was the nephew of Mohammad.
While the Sunni branch claims its right to control because its founders were the generals in-charge when Mohammad died.
It is reported that the Muslim Brotherhood is a Sunni based organization.
The battle continues to this very day.
The verse below is speaking directly concerning Ishmael and the nations that would come from this direct descendent of Abraham.

“And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”
—Genesis 16:12

Editors note about the word perilousFYI: The Greek word (chalepos) (perilous) is only used one other time in the New Testament, Matthew 8:28. There it is translated as (fierce) when describing the nature of the devils that possess Legion and his cohort.

The propaganda footage has reportedly been approved at the highest levels of the Iranian government.

It’s called The Coming is Near and it describes current events in the Middle East as a prelude to the arrival of the mythical tweflth Imam or Mahdi — the messiah figure who Islamic scriptures say will lead the armies of Islam to victory over all non-Muslims in the last days.

“This video has been produced by a group called the Conductors of the Coming, in connection with the Basiji — the Iranian paramilitary force, and in collaboration with the Iranian president’s office,” said Reza Kahlil, a former member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards who shared the video with CBN News.

Kahlili, author of the book, A Time to Betray, worked as a double agent for the CIA inside the Iranian regime.

“Just a few weeks ago, Ahmadenijad’s office screened this movie with much excitement for the clerics,” Kahlili told CBN News. “The target audience is Muslims in the Middle East and around the world.”

Reza Kahlili has more at Pajamas Media. You can watch the film at PJTV. A few things I found noteworthy:

1) Some have questioned whether Ahmadinejad really speaks for the Iranian regime, but his role in this prophetic video is central. In fact, the film suggests that the countdown to the final victory of Islam began when he took power.

2) At one point, the video quotes a Koranic passage about the hidden imam returning when the most awful sorts of people are ruling countries. Next come photos of George Bush, Benjamin Netahyahu, Barack Obama and Angela Merkel. So can we now say definitively that the open hand has been met with a clenched fist?

3) The documentary includes a weird digression on freemasons, whom the Iranian leadership apparently associate closely with Jews–a novel interpretation, I thought, until I checked moments ago and found that this association comes from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

4) The documentary crows about Iran’s military strength in relation to that of the United States. After praising the Iranian Army, Navy, etc., this statement appears (we see here the translated subtitle):

Daniel 11 (New King James Version)

    Daniel 11

1 “Also in the first year of Darius the Mede, I, even I, stood up to confirm and strengthen him.) 2 And now I will tell you the truth: Behold, three more kings will arise in Persia, and the fourth shall be far richer than them all; by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece. 3 Then a mighty king shall arise, who shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. 4 And when he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken up and divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not among his posterity nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be uprooted, even for others besides these.

Warring Kings of North and South

5 “Also the king of the South shall become strong, as well as one of his princes; and he shall gain power over him and have dominion. His dominion shall be a great dominion. 6 And at the end of some years they shall join forces, for the daughter of the king of the South shall go to the king of the North to make an agreement; but she shall not retain the power of her authority,[a] and neither he nor his authority[b] shall stand; but she shall be given up, with those who brought her, and with him who begot her, and with him who strengthened her in those times. 7 But from a branch of her roots one shall arise in his place, who shall come with an army, enter the fortress of the king of the North, and deal with them and prevail. 8 And he shall also carry their gods captive to Egypt, with their princes[c]and their precious articles of silver and gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the North.
9 “Also the king of the North shall come to the kingdom of the king of the South, but shall return to his own land. 10 However his sons shall stir up strife, and assemble a multitude of great forces; and one shall certainly come and overwhelm and pass through; then he shall return to his fortress and stir up strife.
11 “And the king of the South shall be moved with rage, and go out and fight with him, with the king of the North, who shall muster a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into the hand of his enemy. 12 When he has taken away the multitude, his heart will be lifted up; and he will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail. 13 For the king of the North will return and muster a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come at the end of some years with a great army and much equipment.
14 “Now in those times many shall rise up against the king of the South. Also, violent men[d] of your people shall exalt themselves in fulfillment of the vision, but they shall fall. 15 So the king of the North shall come and build a siege mound, and take a fortified city; and the forces[e] of the South shall not withstand him. Even his choice troops shall have no strength to resist. 16 But he who comes against him shall do according to his own will, and no one shall stand against him. He shall stand in the Glorious Land with destruction in his power.[f]
17 “He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones[g] with him; thus shall he do. And he shall give him the daughter of women to destroy it; but she shall not stand with him, or be for him. 18 After this he shall turn his face to the coastlands, and shall take many. But a ruler shall bring the reproach against them to an end; and with the reproach removed, he shall turn back on him. 19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fortress of his own land; but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.
20 “There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle. 21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 With the force[h] of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
25 “He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him. 26 Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy him; his army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain. 27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time. 28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.
    The Northern King’s Blasphemies

29 “At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 For ships from Cyprus[i] shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage.
“So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 And forces[j] shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. 32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.
36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God[k] of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.
    The Northern King’s Conquests

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.

I dont think Ahmadinejad is the Antichrist but the second longer horn on the Ram. (Iraq being the first) The He Goat from the west I think is America.

    Daniel 8

1In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

2And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

3Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

4I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

5And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

6And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

7And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

8Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

9And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

10And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

11Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

12And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

14And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

15And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

17So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

18Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

19And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

20The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

21And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

22Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

23And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

24And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

25And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

26And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

27And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

  5. David Hammond, 01 April, 2011

I thought in Daniel…it appears the antichrist will not have any respect for any religion. Money and power are his fortress. I believe the antichrist will come riding the white horse in revelation, who solves the world’s problem. What are the world’s issues right now? The biggest issue is banking and debt, currency. Apart from Opec, the muslim nations have no power except to make war.

Read Ezekiel 38-39, how it speaks how these nations (which are all muslim nations) attach Israel. Look how it says Persia…which is Iran. It is to my understanding that this prophecy in Ezekiel is a war that still will take place but is apart from anything to do in Revelation. Remember, Jesus said that wars and rumors of wars will happen, but it is not the end, but the beginning of the end. As I understand, or, as I believe I guess I can say; this war in Ezekiel 38-39 will take place, and then the rider on the white horse will come and bring peace and smooth the world’s woes, the antichrist.

Look at the nations toppling now in the middle-east. I believe something is being prepared. But, this is not the first time nations in the middle-east have been toppled. This one has a different feeling to it although. All we can do is what Jesus told us to do…and that is to watch.

  6. James, 02 April, 2011

The devil tries to emulate God in any way he can. Religion will most definitely be part of his plan (hence the part where he declares himself god in revelations).

  7. James, 02 April, 2011

also why so many will be deceived by him when he shows up. The whole world almost is waiting on a messiah.

  8. David Hammond, 03 April, 2011

I honestly just don’t see religion playing a part with the antichrist. For the bible says the antichrist will blasphemy God. A muslim wouldn’t blasphemy God. You look at how for example is becoming more and more antigod/antireligion, and secular. Most Americans hate religion. When Revelations says that people will worship the antichrist, I believe its more of a sense of adoration and veneration, in a way that people worshiped Obama in 2008 when he was elected, and people still do blindly adore him because he swoops people away with his words. The antichrist/the white horse in revelation came riding in on a white horse, with a bow, but no arrow, and a crown was given to him…I truly believe the antichrist will come proclaiming peace, and he will swoop away the people, so much that authority was given to him by 10 others, as revelation states. He will also have the ‘false prophet’ prompting him up to the people as well…who knows how long this man will be on the scene for, all that the bible states is once the Antichrist and Israel signs some sort of treaty/covenant, then the clock starts to count down 7 years. The guy may already be in power in somewhere…who knows, but I really doubt he will be a muslim.

  9. James, 03 April, 2011

I think he’ll be put in power after the inevitable war with Iran.

  10. David Hammond, 04 April, 2011

    I agree.

  11. Deb Miller, 04 April, 2011

    Hi David,
A Muslim will not blasphemy Allah. How about if Islam
is a false religion and the followers mislead???
I feel the ME will unit under Islam to destroy Israel.
If it requires a 12th Imam to cheer the mobs on to
do this, he will be dug out of his well.
This is also the feather in Ahmadinejad hat so
he will be assured of his 14 virgins in paradise.

  12. Deb Miller, 04 April, 2011

Sorry that is Unite under Islam…It is only Allah they will not blasphemy
as the Christian God does not count.

  13. Burnell Barlow, Sr., 04 April, 2011

The comments listed are very interesting, but thought to be either incomplete or incorrect!

The Antichrist, a k a Revelations’ “the beast,” comes from Russia–atheistic he is!
The false prophet, or the Antichrist’s cohort, is a Muslim. Notice the word “lamb,” not “Lamb.” A witer’s error. I don’t think so! It appears the writer is informing the reader that this false prophet is thought to be the Muslim messiah–the Mahdi, a k a the twelfth Iman.
Revelations 13:12 shows one that there are two horns on the lamb. Research will show that there are two major sects of Muslims–Sunni and Shi-ite. The latter is more religious and radical. Hmmm!

Ezekiel does mention a battle. However, a thorough study will show that this is the Antichrist’s confederacy. Ezekiel is the prophet that points one to the “uttermost north,” which suggests Russia on your Atlas. If this war is to separate from Revelations, many Scriptures will have to be explained away.

As for Daniel’s prophesy, Dan. 8:3-4 does speak of a ram having two horns, one of which was longer than the other. An explanation is given in Dan. 8:19-20, Persia being the longer horn.
This ram was trampled by the one horned male goat. Again, Gabriel interprets the vision. Dan. 8:21 said the kingdom of the goat was symbolic of Greece.
Verse 21 also tells one that the large horn is to the first king. History confirms this was Alexander the Great.
Verse 22 tells one that this horn is broken {Alexander the Great dies} and in its place four kingdoms arise, but not with its power. History reveals that his four generals took over.
The Bible’s concern is, obviously, the kings who affect Israel–the Ptolemies-Egypt and the Seleucids–Syria. These two kings become some of Daniel’s kings of the north and south {of Israel}. Israel became the locations of the battles.
Poor Israel! God punishes sin! Israel’s sin was disobedience! Defiantly walking by the flesh and not of the spirit! In sacrificial terms, a trespass offering was needed, for Israel had knowing broken the covenant.

Again, the Bible focuses on Syria’s king, Antiochus “Epiphanes” IV. He is a type of the Antichrist!
Dan. 8:9-14 centers on Antiochus. The 2300 days is not easy to understand, but the answer can be understood by understanding the question. The last part of the question is in verse 13–“the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?” Do you find a similarity to Rev. 11:2?
Dan. 8:23-26 begins with Antiochus, but interjects a word of the Antichrist. He does this often. In fact, Dan. 11:21-35 is about Antiochus. Verses 36-45 is about the Antichrist.

The study of the Antichrist is not an easy study, but the blessings are myriad! One tends to focus on the Satan-possessed Antichrist, but one’s focus should be on Jesus. He’s coming soon for His blood washed children! Are you one?

  14. becca, 04 April, 2011

All very intersting. ITD keeps us up to date on how the prophetic clock it ticking as Scripture is fulfilled. Love it! Always remembering that while all these many things will occur before rapture and during the tribulation, the main point of Revelation is to reveal JESUS CHRIST. He is the KING OF KINGS. We must keep our eyes on Him. Are our lives pleasing to Him? Are we completely surrendered to Him? Do we seek to study & obey His Word? The great King who was slain on Mt. Calvary is coming in power & glory. All will bow and confess that He is Lord. The final question will not be about how many good works you did, how often you attended church, or how much you gave to causes. The question will be “What did you do with Jesus Christ?” If you accepted Him as Lord then you will be accepted. If you have rejected Him, you will be rejected.

  15. James, 06 April, 2011

The Jewish word for Greece here “Dan. 8:21 said the kingdom of the goat was symbolic of Greece.” does not necessarily mean Greece but was commonly used as “gentiles”. Alexander does fulfill this prophesy it would seem but you’re forgetting that this vision is of the time of the end.” I’m sure we can all agree Things went on after Alexander for some time and did not end. Keep in mine history tends to repeat itself.

  16. James, 06 April, 2011

I just want to note that the whole time I’ve been writing this and 15 minutes prior there have been military helicopters in the sky near my house.

  17. Richie hollis, 12 April, 2011

What is going on now is the preparation. Just as Israel struck Gaza just before Obama took office (due to the fact they were on borrowed time) the reverse will happen when our next presidential election happens. The uprising will continue then they will strike Israel next December.

  18. barry, 20 May, 2012

Ian is right on his words. Keep following the words that have been given to you and keep the faith. The Ottoman empire is here. The blind eyes will see what your telling them. Follow the events of this solar eclipse and the revealing of the Mahdi.
