A pro-life group in Washington has launched a campaign to oppose what it calls president-elect Barack Obama’s planned $1.5 billion “bailout” of the abortion industry.
Innocent Blood
“Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.”
—Psa 106:37-39
Last week, the Obama-Biden Transition Project posted a report on its website that calls for dramatic policy reversals on abortion, including $1 billion in taxpayer money for international abortion groups like Planned Parenthood. The report, titled “Advancing Reproductive Rights and Health in a New Administration,” also calls for a 133-percent increase in funding for the Title X program, which funds Planned Parenthood clinics across the country.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, is hoping a Republican-led effort in the Senate will block Obama’s plan to substantially increase taxpayer funding of the abortion industry.
“This billion-dollar bailout of the abortion industry comes at a time, number one, when the economy is suffering dramatically with true need. And number two, it communicates an incredible depth of arrogance, especially when you consider that the vast majority of Americans — men and women, no matter who you talk to — they don’t believe that people who don’t believe in abortion should be funding it,” she contends. “Most Americans don’t believe that we should be funding abortions, especially in a time of economic crisis.”
The Susan B. Anthony List has started a “Stop the Abortion Bailout” campaign designed to recruit thousands of activists to send letters to their senators “with the goal of securing the 41 votes necessary to sustain a Senate filibuster of the abortion bailout.”

Most Americans don’t believe in or support the Iraq war, but taxpayers have been burdened with unfathomable debt that will take generations to pay for. Maybe we could ad an addendum when we pay our taxes, we support this, this, this, and not that.

How can you call yourself a Christian and deny that abortion and it’s advocacy is absolutely evil, and from the devil himself.

Liberals just cannot get their fill of killing babies. Just can’t!

Abortion is demonic, murder in fact.

I think people support abortion because it is better to be dead than unwanted. People want to have sex all they want (married or not) and not have to worry about kids to support (becomes more true if unwilling to use condoms, and unable to afford birth-control medication due to unemployment). The democratic government doesn’t want to pay welfare for a bunch of unwanted kids that will end up criminals anyway.
The root of the cause is people having sex and not knowing the potential costs. This especially applies to unmarried people as they are more often stop-and-run interactions, but married couples are not immune.

I guess I didn’t realize that a conservative has never had an abortion. Or is it one of those nasty little things they just don’t talk about. How well have all the previous “pro-life” presidents done on the preservation of LIFE? This present pro lifer got us into 2 unnecessary wars, and signed more death certificates than any other governor of Texas. Hard to call that pro life. How can we pick and choose and elevate the sacredness of life for the unborn as opposed to the already born. The taking of a life is the taking of a life. Many helpless children have been killed in the middle east wars, and they already had their feet on the ground.

just another ,if the united states did not step in on this war and wars past millions more would have died!!!

Justanother: So if, as you believe, we are killing innocent children in the middle east it should then be okay to murder unborn children in the U.S.? How do two wrongs make a right? There are many times in the Scripture when God allows war but there is never, not one time, when he allows the murder of an infant.

THOU SHALT NOT KILL. There are no “except for” added to this. Seems pretty clear, biblically, morally, and any other way. Life is life. ALL life is sacred, born or unborn. I do not endorse abortion nor state sanctioned murder as in war or the death penalty.
And, the United States did not “step into this war”, the current administration created it. Millions have or will die because of it. If the purpose was to rid the world of Sadam, he has been dead for several years now, but the war continues—and innocent children still die.

The news reported that Sadam had people killed in wood chippers, pushed off roofs to their deaths, executed women for wearing nail polish, gassed thousands of Kurds, he allowed his perverted sons to have school girls brought to them for their sick desires; & on & on.
Should we have allowed that to continue? No dictator is going to give up all his castles without a fight. He had WMD’s, that’s how he killed the Kurds, was that a practice run before using them here in the U,S.? and where would he use them? my home-town or your home-town?
The O.T. teaches us of many wars which G-D used to bring about a particular end result; & in some cases, He said kill them all.
And justifying abortion with it’s better to be dead than unwanted.
Unwanted by WHO? G-D wants them & knows His plans for them.
(btw. don’t want kids, use birth control or better yet, self control; or are we all a bunch of animals in the need of being neutered?)
