LONDON – Food aid is at a 20-year low despite the number of critically hungry people soaring this year to its highest level ever, the United Nations relief agency said Wednesday.

The number of hungry people will pass 1 billion this year for the first time, the U.N. World Food Program (WFP) said, adding that it is facing a serious budget shortfall.
To date the WFP has confirmed $2.6 billion in funding for its 2009 budget of $6.7 billion.
“This comes at a time of great vulnerability for the hungry,” the WFP said in a statement.
“Millions have been buffeted by the global financial downturn, their ability to buy food is limited by stubbornly high prices. In addition, unpredictable weather patterns are causing more weather-related hunger,” the WFP said.

Sounds like we need another World music festival fundraiser…
All this and California’s green belt is being dried up because of an endangered fish.
Or this could be a publicity stunt so they can milk the American taxpayers for a bailout.
Funny how evolutionists stick up for endangered species (which isn’t a bad thing necessarily) when the fundamentals of evolution teach survival of the fittest to begin with. Extinction is part of the program.
We have a constantly evolving world right? Out with the old in with the stronger more dominant and better evolved species.
What if the whole famine thing is an attempt by the who’s who’s and the haves to squeeze the have nots and drop the population to a more “manageable level?” Then control us with with a one world system?
Or, how about the California agricultural leaders drying up CA intentionally so they can shed thousands of illegals that work the farms and fields? That have been a big drain on their budgets.
Knowing all the while that they can drop the fish off the list and turn the water back on whenever they want.
Just wondering?
