Iranian president in New Year’s message to Christians: ‘God willing, Jesus will return with Imam Mahdi and wipe away oppression’
False Prophets
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
—Mat 7:15
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
2Cr 11:3
Perilous Times
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived”
—2Ti 3:13″
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a greeting to the world’s Christians for the coming New Year, in which he has linked Christianity’s deity, Jesus, with the Shiite messianic figure, Imam Mahdi, saying he expected both to return and “wipe away oppression.”
“I wish all the Christians a very happy new year and I wish to ask them a question as well,” the Iranian leader said, according to the Iranian Student News Agency .
“My one question from the Christians is: What would Jesus do if he were present in the world today? What would he do before some of the oppressive powers of the world who are in fact residing in Christian countries? Which powers would he revive and which of them would he destroy?” the Iranian president asked.
“If Jesus were present today, who would be facing him and who would be following him?” He added.
‘Occupiers warned to evacuate Iraq’
Ahmadinejad then linked Jesus with Imam Mahdi, a Shiite leader believed by the Iranian president to have gone into hiding centuries ago, and who is expected by Shiite Muslims to return and usher in a period of messianic dominance for Islam.
“All I want to say is that the age of hardship, threat and spite will come to an end someday and God willing Jesus would return to the world along with the emergence of the descendant of the Islam’s Holy Prophet, Imam Mahdi and wipe away every tinge of oppression, pain and agony from the face of the world,” Ahmadinejad said.
The Iranian president also called on the United States and Britain to evacuate Iraq, saying, “We warn the occupiers that if they do not evacuate Iraq on their own accord, then the powerful hands of the Iraqi nation would do that and cast them out of this country in shame and humiliation.”

As twisted as this guy is, He has a point! Jesus definitely is not pleased with mainstream America and it’s continued rejection of His truth. On that same note, he is definitely not pleased with the Arab world for their persecution of the Jews. It is funny how a Muslim can grasp hold of the end times better than a lot of Christians!

This article reports of conflicting remarks: “wipe away every tinge of oppression, pain and agony” & “cast them out of this country in shame and humiliation.†And the only power that will “be” is Jesus as “KING of kings & LORD of lords”. People, wake up; these words appear on the dome of the rock: God has no son.

It’s funny how he talks about all this bad stuff being done away with , when he himself is promoting war with Israel and suspresses women, etc.

The Iranian leader needs to read Revelation and he’ll know just what Jesus will be doing when he returns. Turn or burn Mahmoud!

Jesus is present today in the hearts of his followers.
We’re the ones caring for the homeless, the sick, orphans, the lost and unsaved. Suppressing evil with laws inspired by our creator to bring justice and order to a corrupt world. This is what Jesus is doing,
loving God and loving our neighbor as we want to be loved.

This is typical spiritual counterfeit. This muslim leader takes the attributes of God and applies them to godless practices for deception. He can not deny Jesus existance, so he brings him down to a position that fits their doctrine. He might seem very comfortable approaching us and using the name Jesus, as long as we don’t call Him ‘Savior’.
Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ, and our Savior.

Bill B.-I agree. Problem is a lot of Christians have created their own form of religion.
When you start taking abortion for granted and not taking the Bible literally you can bend and twist your new form of religion any way you want.
Lukewarm is an easy place to be-I hate it, but I feel it pursuing me. Running the race is just about the Best way to look at it.
Heck-I’m going to Buy some new tennis shoes.

That was 4 questions. I believe he only said he wanted to ask us 1. The answer to the 1st question would be probably that I am not the mouth of Christ. But if he does in fact acknowledge Christ and Islam came after the Resurrection of Christ and the bible is one of the books that is accepted by Islam, then where is their take on “I am the Lord thy God, thou shall have no other Gods before me” commandment? Lets not forget Thou Shalt not Kill as well. I guess Islam just ignores that part.
