NEW DELHI: With Democrat senator Barack Obama busy in the run-up to the US presidential polls, a group of well-wishers in the capital have decided to send him a symbol of his lucky charm, Lord Hanuman, to help him emerge victorious.
Obama’s representative Carolyn Sauvage-Mar on Tuesday received a gold-plated two-feet-high idol which she will pass it on to the Obama after it is sanctified.
The idol is being presented to Obama as he is reported to be a Lord Hanuman devotee and carries with him a locket of the monkey god along with other good luck charms.
An hour-long prayer meeting to sanctify the idol was earlier organised at Sankat Mochan Dham and by Congress leader Brijmohan Bhama, Balmiki Samaj and the temple’s priests.
“Obama has deep faith in Lord Hanuman and that is why we are presenting an idol of Hanuman to him,” said Bhama.
Accepting the souvenir, Sauvage-Mar, who is chairperson of Democrats Abroad-India, said, “Obama has extended his thanks for the support.”
However, questions on Obama’s religious beliefs elicited just a smile from Sauvage-Mar, apparently to avoid controversy back home where the Democrat senator is pitted against the Republican Party’s John McCain in the Presidential polls.
The idol will be kept at the temple for 11 more days and then sent to US.
“We will perform the prayers for 11 days and then hand the idol to Carolyn who will send it to Obama,” said the temple priest.

and yet, obama claims to be “christian”…
i’d like to know what kind of “christian” carries around a locket of a monkey god of india?!?

Wow what a devote “christian” this Obama is! There are many ways to “god”…I guess Christ was wrong and all us humans have been right since the Garden, oops I mean since we crawled out of our slim filled evolutionary pools…Its sad how far we humans go to exchange the truth of God and its sickening what we try to replace Him with, their gods have eyes but cant see, ears but cant hear and followers that dont see where they’re headed. ~Yeshua reigns!

obama the monkey man, swingin’ on a rubberband. sorry, that just popped in my head. what an unbelievable JOKE he is. he would probably resort to carrying live fire ants in his pants pocket and pay homage to a scorpion if he thought it would help him get elected. i know i am wrong for being publically disrespectful concerning one of GODS creatioins, But, i feel in my gut he will be our next president and he will sell the U.S.A. and ISRAEL out just as quick as he can. why he will makes no logical sense, aren’t you glad GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL!!!!

Obama’s monkey shines, or is this monkey god shrines?
Monkey see, monkey do, monkey worship take you to hell to.
A lord hanuman devotee, a muslim, and a christian, seems like a lot of monkey business.
He also carries a image of Isis, oops thats Mary, and a poker chip as well, guess he worships the queen of hearts to.
Just in, the price of oil just hit over $142 per barrel definitely more than a barrel of monkey god’s, which are totally worthless, much like their devotes.

Ginger just told me some gossip about an Indian (Hindu I assume) being placed in a Tempe city government building until somebody complained about it. It was gift for thanking for a city service contract. She speculated that an elaborate crucifix statue would never be placed, regardless of whether people treat that as an idol or not. I couldn’t find an article on it though.
She says that Obama (Obomination) wouldn’t be politically stupid enough to put the Monkey god idol in the white house. If he were to place it in the white house, it would be big leverage for Hillary Clinton to social-network for his assassination, and the idol would probably stay too.
