The leader of the US House of Representatives, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in coming days will visit Syria, a country President George W. Bush has shunned as a state sponsor of terrorism, despite being asked by the administration not to go.
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”
—Luke 21:25
“But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.”
—Luke11:17
“In our view, it is not the right time to have these sort of high-profile visitors to Syria,” State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters Friday.
Pelosi will not be the first member of Congress in recent months to travel to Syria, but as House speaker she is the most senior.
“This is a country that is a state sponsor of terror, one that is trying to disrupt the Saniora government in Lebanon and one that is allowing foreign fighters to flow into Iraq from its borders,” White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

Give me a break, does she think she is going to be our dove and olive branch for peace. As a former Marine, this type of leadership is a joke, she couldn’t lead ants to a picknick let alone bring peace to the middle east. These people are laughing at us this very moment and saying to themselves is this the best that the U.S. has got to offer?

Pelosi’s disregard for the country she claims to serve, dealing with a terrorist nation, and visiting it against the advise of our Commander in Chief , this would be normally called treason. Today it is however a great attribute to the woman who would be the next “Hanoi Jane”. or is it “Damascus Nancy”! We must take her serious, as she has been taken in by Syria.

I am actually very curious as to what kind of message she is going to be delivering. On whom’s authority can she speak? She is not representing the President nor is speaking for the Defense Secretary. Is she going there just for tea?

Just a thought, but you never know: maybe she went there to explain to them how the “chain of command” works in order for her to take over the leadership of our country. ???
