Gay and lesbian couples in Washington and across the nation are celebrating Friday’s ruling, which will put an end to same-sex marriage bans in the 14 states that still maintain them.

President Barack Obama said earlier Friday that the court ruling has “made our union a little more perfect.”

The colors illuminated the north side of the White House as Obama returned Friday evening from Charleston, South Carolina, where he delivered the eulogy of the funeral of Clementa Pinckney, one of nine people murdered in the massacre at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church last week.

Here is a link to an article concerning Coeur d’Alene Idaho where pastors have been required by law to preform gay weddings. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/oct/20/idaho-citys-ordinance-tells-pastors-to-marry-gays-/ ““On Friday, a same-sex couple asked to be married by the Knapps, and the Knapps politely declined,” The Daily Signal reported. “The Knapps now face a 180-day jail term and a $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.”

Great use of tax-payers hard earned money!

As to the Pastors in Coeur d’Alene Idaho.

Matt 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Sand firm and run the race to the end!

Err, That was supposed to be, Stand firm and run the race to the end!

  4. Dale Langmade, 04 July, 2015

I’m glad you cleared that up Etzel, I was having trouble with the ‘firm’ sand. The following was in Thursday’s news, just in time for the 4th of July: “The verdict is in: Sweet Cakes by Melissa, owned by Aaron and Melissa Klein of Gresham, Oregon, has been ordered to pay $135,000 to Rachel Cryer and Laurel Bowman, a lesbian couple who were denied a cake by the bakery due to their sexual orientation.

This wraps up the controversial case, which first began in 2013 and reached critical mass earlier this year when supporters of both sides took to social media.” (just posted about this on Facebook) http://www.ijreview.com/2015/7/359971-oregon-bakery-sweet-cakes-by-melissa-must-pay-hefty-fine-turning-down-lesbian-cake-order/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=owned&utm_campaign=m

Hi Dale I saw the article you just mentioned.

This whole Lawsuit concept is part of the war against Christians and their beliefs.

I don’t know if you are aware of this or not but some reporters tried to get muslim bakers to do a wedding cake for a “gay” marriage service. No one did anything about their refusal! http://www.redflagnews.com/headlines-2015/muslim-bakeries-refuse-to-bake-cakes-for-gay-weddings-video-media-silent

Maybe christians should engage gay caterers, bakers, photographers, and marriage chapels (All of which there are many) and in contracting their services and demand they follow a biblically themed script. If they refuse, or spout hateful rhetoric, sue them.
