He is still a holy, righteous God who expects us to be holy and righteous people. The only thing that changed from OT to NT is the relationship with God, not who He is or His attitude about sin. He always loved the sinner and hated the sin, from the very first day of creation, because he knew before he ever created us that we would be sinners and we are all, from Adam on down, sinners, whether the sin is homosexuality or sloth or lust or laziness or drunkeness or. . . . . we are to turn away from the sin, repent and live rightly. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!

God did not create “straight” people and “gays”. It is man who perverted his sexuality. Homosexuality is a sin. This is very clearly stated in the bible.

Yes, Jesus loves the sinner, but He NEVER condones sin. He ALWAYS pointed out sin and told all of us to repent and sin no more.
