{A Brazilian judge faces legal action for homophobia after giving a judgment in which he said football was a masculine sport, not a homosexual one.

The judge is reported to have said no-one who had watched the golden era of Pele and others in the 1970s could ever consider having a homosexual idol.
His comments emerged in a case brought by Brazilian footballer Richarlyson.
Richarlyson, who plays for Sao Paulo, was named on national TV as a gay player by the manager of another team.
The suggestion that a leading Brazilian footballer was gay had already been the subject of considerable public speculation.
Richarlyson started legal proceedings against the manager, claiming that the public outing on television had damaged his image.
Controversial
In reaching a decision to effectively set the case aside, Judge Manoel Maximiniano Junqueira Filho said football was a virile masculine sport and not a homosexual one.
If you were a homosexual, it would be better to admit it or to conceal it completely, the judge was reported as saying.
However, if that was the case, it would be better to abandon the playing field, he added.
The judge said those who remembered the World Cup of 1970 and saw golden players such as Pele and Tostao would never consider a homosexual idol.
It was not shown to be reasonable to accept homosexuality in Brazilian football because this would damage the equilibrium and uniformity of thinking of the team.
A complaint is to be lodged about the judge’s comments, which seem likely to become more controversial than the original legal action and his decision to shelve the case is also the subject of an appeal.

re: the original case that football player richarlyson brought against the manager of another team…
richarlyson is, in effect, saying: i’m a public figure, and someone said something that is TRUE about me on public tv, so i want money…
what kind of nonsense is this?
of course, the case should be set aside… who gets monetary damages when something TRUE is said…
oh and the judge expressed an opinion i don’t like, so i’m gonna sue him, too…

But ya know thats how it all gets started. Ya get one that crys foul and everybody is suppose to give in to his/her gay needs.
Your right boo hoo. What happened to the “We are more tolerant of other peoples lifstyle and beliefs than they are of us”
I know this kind of thing just makes me want to yak. Why couldn’t they have stayed in the closet. But NOOOOOOOO! we want our rights too!
What, you mean the right to push your perverted sicko lifstyle on our kids who don’t even know what gay is. The right to tell and demand of empoyers that they have to provide medical insurance for their “soul mate”
“life partner” just because you feel cheated out of the same benefits as a man/woman marriage.
I am just so sick of hearing about their rights. What about the rights of the parents who don’t want their kids influenced by this sickness.
What about the right of freedom of speech to speak out against what we believers know to be right and wrong when it comes to sexual purity.
So I say thanks, liberals, passive “christians”, our so called govrnment leaders for listening to “we the people”and what we don’t want in our schools.
But all in all I say Gory to God in the Highest. because the more I see of what is happening in our nation today, the closer that Jesus is comin back and how much more of God’s word is so true to what we are seeing of the end times, and how much more of “evil will be called good, and good will be called evil” and “men will become lovers of themselves and their hearts will grow cold”.
But I do have to give the judge cudos for speaking his mind. I wish our judges could sound off like they had a spine instead of letting these sick people push their agenda on me. Hey, I got an idea. The gays can tell me all about their boyfriend/girlfriend and I’ll tell them about my Jesus.
and what he says about their lifstyle according to his word and yes, there is good news and bad news.
boo hoo and waa waa, go get your binky and go home.

scott-o (that’s scott and jenn-o) i forget does lol mean laughing out loud….which i am at you two…. or lots of love? .. as i recall how much God loves these sinners and wants them to come to repentance.. how can we help them? the truth-prayer-God -love-the main thing.. i know the deception increases as time goes on, and peoples hearts seem so much more hardened than even 5 years ago? we have to be as busy as the evil one spreading the Word..i know you know this stuff.. but it helps remind me who is in charge and who we serve…and what i need to continue to do even when nobody wants to listen and it gets hard…many blessings

but, but, but i am too a sensitive person… really i am… i just believe in free speech… :~)
and i don’t know how anybody can sue someone for saying something TRUE… it just seems like so much whining… i mean, it’s not slander or anything… it can’t even be called “hate speech”… so what’s the basis of the lawsuit?… what makes people think that they can control every word that comes out of another person’s mouth?…

usually, my first reaction is to get annoyed… but that’s really not very useful… so i try to remember to pray about everything that annoys me… i gotta tell ya, that means i pray about a lot of things… LOL…

Somebody has got to keep the humor in all this. And God has gifted Jen-o and I to do that, we seem to be quite like minded in our posts.
But seriously, we do have to show love and compassion to those caught up in this lie of sexual perversion. It’s not so much the person that bothers me, but it’s what they represent and what their agenda is trying to push.
As a corporate group of people ya hate what they are trying to do and you hate everything that they stand for and even the lifstyle they represent.
But together as group they are evil, as far as I’m concerned islam is no different.
But if you could just get them by themselves and be able to sit down and talk to them without judgement and get to know their story and find out what has moved them to this place in their life, your heart would just cry for them.
It’s just truly sad, that, there is an escape plan from this lifestyle, that “the harvest is plenty, but yet so few workers”.
Like I’ve said before it’s easy to love those that agree with you and are like minded in so may ways and have so much in common. But what about those that you wouldn’t through water on if they were on fire and believe or not these people and all those who are lost are on fire and don’t even know it yet (selah).
But, it blesses me to bring a smile to peoples faces even when there down.
So I do try to find humor in this dark and lost world that we live in.
Because Joan, I don’t have time to be bummed out about all the depression and sorrow that satan wants to bring into peoples lives, I want to give them a hope in Jesus and a smile to go along with that hope.
Know what I mean, jelly bean. ROFLOL!!!! (roll on floor laughing out loud)
